A Charles Sinclair appears in the 1901 census for North Harris, aged 6, the youngest child of Robert (56) and Margaret (50) and sibling of Janet (26), Catheirne (13), Edith (11), Margory (9) and Helen (7).
Charles Sinclair was my great uncle. He was the only brother of my maternal grandmother Catherine MacFarlan Sinclair and her 11 sisters. He was born on 10 Dec 1894 in Tarbert, North Harris, and died in Arras, France on 19 April 1917. I have a lot of family history material, for anyone who has a good reason to be genuinely interested. Is his name on the monument/memorial pictured on this page? I didn't know this. When Charlie was born, his father Robert Sinclair was a Factor for Lord Sinclair, and I am keen to find out more about this connection.
