Private Neill MacDougall, who was accidentally killed in the trenches on the 28th February was the son of Mr Alexander MacDougall, Minish, Lochmaddy, retired schoolmaster. He was only 26 years of age and previous to joining the army was employed by the Caledonian Railway Company. He was well known and greatly respected in his native district and Glasgow. The heartfelt sympathy of the community is extended to the bereaved parents who are held in high esteem by all who know them.
