John appears in the 1901 census at Grimsay, aged 9, the son of John (46) and Christy (35) and brother of Ann (17), Catherine (15), Marion (12), D John (7), Murdo (3), Archibald (3) and Maggie (1).
His brother Murdo died in action on the Western Front in May 1915.
I am currently trying to find out more information about my Great Uncle and his family and would be very grateful for any more information
